there is a viral video of a texas teen calling out a teacher, because he wanted a better education than learning from packets(handouts).

Well, technically I’m a teenager, but I like to call myself a kid :) (Not such a big difference, really, just 2 years…) Young Jedi!! Hehehe

I loved the way Chad said it(because he IS a little round himself, sadly. Oh well) I dont like how Biztecki and Ethan Brockman are saying it though.

I’m an old Grandma and I love, love Big Nate.

It would be hilarious if Mrs. Godfrey was behind Chad, too.

I am a middle school teacher, and I think Mrs. Godfrey overreacts to Nate. He is a pretty typical middle school boy who is not into school. If she gave him some cool projects, that could change radically. He would love making a comic book about any historical event or creating a game. He is imaginative and smart even if he is a pain.

I complain about kids sometimes, and I expect kids to complain about me. No teacher is perfect and always have great days; sometimes the best teacher can be unreasonable and mean. Nate did not say anything with the intention of her hearing. I would have asked for an apology and explained he needed to be discreet in the future. Mrs. Godfrey needs to calm down. I would also explain I am chubby, not fat!

This is not so much an argument as it is a reaction to 2 or 3 posters who just don’t get it. This is a public forum, not the privacy of your home or your back yard. Imagine if Ethan B. stood out on Main Street of your town or city and screamed over and over as he did here in this comment section, how long would that last? How long would the citizens of your town tolerate it? How long have WE tolerated this?…To make one final note – this is not a chat room, there is no 1-on-1 communication between posters. This IS a comment section for a single comic strip; a good one that apparently appeals to younger people, but does it make sense to spend hours here and create the kind of mischief that was more than apparent today?…I trust that things will work out, for you, for me, and for the world. And for Nate and his teacher (what is her name, I can’t remember…Mrs. P. Gasbag or something…)

the most unrealistic thing about BN is that it paints Nate as the only ‘bad kid’ in the class. come on, they’re kids, there would be a LOT more of them who dont pay attention and cause trouble, especially in a history class

Notice in Panel 2 that Francis’ glasses are the color of his skin.

I hate this arc outside of the last strip. Pretending Nate is the only problem when Godfrey absolutely singles him out is so annoying
