The bear has a point. Most hunters are very high in cholesterol.

Salmon are being contaminated by the farm salmon, and disappearing from the pacific northwest. So the junk food may be all that is available very soon.

I have a bear story.Alaska 1974.Fly Fishing out side Paxton Lake.Nice warm day, early spring, fish are running good.Catching Arctic grayling. Nice fish similar to Trout.Heard a lot of commotion coming from up stream. Got a wiff of ewwwww. (Bears look cute but they do reek)I headed for the bank to get out. Ooopppps! I was at the edge of tall bank about 10 feet from the stream and could not get over it.I heard this grunt and loud sniffing sound behind me.I turned slowly and there he was a 12 foot grizzly. I assessed my situation and possible response.I had a 357 mag pistol with six rounds of 125 gr jacketed hollow points.I figured if the bear charges I got five shots at the bear and the last one for me. Grim but accurate choice given my situation.The bear suddenly reared up and made all kinds of bear noises at me. Grunts, roars, noises hard to describe. I undid the snap on the holster.The bear grunted then dropped down to all fours and kept on going down the stream.Luckily I had a extra change of pants and underwear back at camp. The beer was really good that day.
