Did that cat just tell Ludwig he sucked at hunting for his food?

I’d like to think that’s a toy mouse…. Some other cat left a jingly ball.

So yeah, Luddy’s the proprietor of this new attraction.

Looks like Ludwig is collecting tolls. Is that catnip they are rolling in? Botany is not my specialty.

Never, ever plant Catnip outside. Even in small pots. If tey flower they send seeds smaller than Poppy Seeds everywhere. Then they send trailers out and soon you have every cat, racoon, possum and gerbil in the neighborhood in your yard. It’s like Spearmint; it takes over your yard. .Sorry.

We’ve never had issues like you talk about, finale. Maybe it’s the variety we plant. We’ve had two bushes for several years. On good years they might grow to 4 feet high, most years only two. Never any runners or wildlings.

At my parent’s house, I noticed that her indoor cats spend all night at the sliding glass back door, watching the neighborhood cats using our catnip bush.

I wish I could find some fresh catnip….There doesn’t seem to be any in my neighborhood…Llywas, how do you plant it? Can buy seeds or seedlings? My cats don’t care for the dried stuff you get at the store….But they love the fresh stuff…..

Varnes… See if there’s a Farm & Home supplies store in the area that carries ‘the fresh stuff’ .. If not, find a store that carries the seeds you can plant in a window-box. Or even a Pet Supplies store might carry such..I agree that the stuff from the mountain of Hartz is less than worthless..

Actually Catnip and Catmint are two different plants entirely. We have both in our yard and the don’t really look much alike. Catnip grows in a clump with no runners, but the seed can volunteer around your yard. Cats prefer Catnip two to one. At least in our family.
