I am currently in mourning over the breaking of my favorite scotch glass. I accidentally knocked it off the counter and it shattered. It looked fancier than it was. Small rainbows refracted off it in candlelight. At least there was no scotch in it at the time.
Well then how about Global Thermah, SHIP, CAPTAIN, CREW
1 Each player will take a turn rolling a set of five dice. Each turn will consist of three shakes to accrue points.
2 The dice are rolled. You are looking for your ship (6), your captain (5) and your crew (4). You must get each before you can accumulate any points, and they must be rolled in order—you’ll need a ship before you can have a captain and a captain before you can get a crew. Points are only tallied from the last two dice. Highest score possible is 12.
The first roll (yours on the right). you have a six (ship) and a five(captain). Keep those dice out and shake three. I don’t have a six so I shake again.I now have the Six Five Four with crew of 7 (six and an ace). You have two more shakes to get a four and the count of two dice over 7 to win.
Todd has always been the studious type, as you can clearly see. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Western Ball Ruth College of the Appalachians in mechanical engineering he immediately began working on his PHD in conveyor systems and material handling. Combining years of practical experience in the mining and shipping industry he now finds himself high, dry and somewhat smug as he enjoys the wonders of his first love; the single phase directional centered pivoted pulley….how glorious. Shirley is beside herself, if it hadn’t been for the self filling hummingbird feeders, doubled latched fold down windows and swivel kitchen island, she would have sent him packing to the garage years ago….But all in all it’s pretty cool.

What a novel concept, Todd, anything to avoid having to reach for the glass…

I didn’t give it a name, like Big Carl or anything, but it was a good glass.

And Brian, I’m so sorry for your loss….
Some people will tell you to just go out and buy another glass… but I know it’s not the same.
And something like that may not be available any more.
I do have a coupon for 20% off my next purchase at the Goodwill store…Would you like it?
Perhaps…. you know….you might find something of the correct vintage…Not a _replacement, ever… but a new friend?

I don’t want the Monkey to see this…I’d rather get my Scotch from Fenton, or the Fireman, or the little monkeys….
In fact…. say, Fireman……

Did Fenton ever tell you that his mother named him for her favorite vintage glass?
Decorative glass, not barware.
