You have it exactly wrong. Athiests just DIS-believe in all the thousands of gods out of the thousands available.

I like the saying: Religious people believe that out of the thousands of gods out there, theirs is the true god and all the others are false. Atheists just go one further.

God is one. Humans use different names.
