Mom: Alice! What is this thing on the dining room table? Alice: It's a chunk of our actual street the workmen dug up! Doesn't it make an interesting centerpiece and historic artifact? Mom: Take it back outside now now now! Alice: But it's got real tire marks and fossilized gum! Hey! Quit shoving!

I’m still laughing about that big flower centerpiece that attacked Petey a few weeks ago.

Mom, show some respect for ‘an interesting centerpiece and historic artifact’. It isn’t every day that you can own fossilized gum!

Back in the day(1930’s) my mom would get tar off the side of the road and chew it! She still has her own teeth to this day.

When I was a kid, we would chew the tar from the road. I’m not quite that old, but in 9 days I will be 75yo. Another thing, if I EVER told my mother to “quit shoving”, that piece of road would be upside my head!!!
