The edge of Niagara falls is constantly moving and will eventually disappear into Lake Erie! At the Pigs of God contest in Taiwan, farmers compete to grow the fattest pigs, which can weigh more than 2000 lpounds! Shaun Jones of Norfolk, England, can blow up and burst a hot water bottle in less than 7 seconds!

Jones should run for public office of some kind – he certainly has the hot air to spare. ;)

@rg_eq,You won’t see any more hot water bottles either, if Shaun Jones blows them all up and bursts them.

I remember hearing sometime ago that they were “repairing” the edge of Niagra falls to prevent it from receding back to Lake Erie ….

It’s estimated to going to take about 50,000 years to erode the approximately 20 miles back to Lake Erie.

A number of people can blow up water bottles, but a marketable skill? No.An air compressor could do it easier and cheaper.

Be careful if you ever try to do Jone’s trick with the hot water bottle. The things have been known to backfire. Right, a bloody disaster.

The creationist Morris claimed that because of the erosion rate of Niagara Falls, 4 to 5 feet/year, the Falls could not be more than 10,000 years old and thus the earth could not be more than 10,000 years old; Morris, John D., 2003 (May). Dating Niagara Falls, Impact #359, also in Answers in Genesis, Project Creation (“A creation education ministry”) and the Institute for Creationist Research, among other creationist sources. This was shown to be wrong. See the entry in the evolutionwiki (dot) org webpage.

Another source is the talkorigins(dot)org archive. See #17 to debunk Hovind’s claim.
