The “pip” is too weak for my taste….

Yeah, give me a good old-fashioned “muscle popper” any day!

Yeah, the pip has too much squeak in it.

That was a good mix with Pearls Before Swine! They do that a lot.

Oh, “Pearls” is hilarious today! I love it when Pastis “invites” other characters into the strip. :)

We need some wide track tires, wheelie bars and an open muffler on these litle popcorn machines. That’ll muscle it up enough.

Stephen Pastis and Richard Thompson will be together at Comic-Con tomorrow. They’re on a panel discussing comic strip syndication. Today’s Pearls was probably a nod to friends.

I knoww, I love Pearls too and have been loving the recent series where they featured first Mary Worth and then Alice and Lio. Cant wait for Stephan Pastis to riff off Cathy! Pretty please? Heh heh.

sgt.angua - Pastis has had a series where rat kidnapped Cathy. It is hilarious! Not sure which collection it is in. Also, the Family Circus used to show up from time to time

Re ‘PEARLS…’: Hilarious stuff.

This Sunday’s Family Circus had Bil reading the kids a stotybook called “Pig and Rat Get Lost”. I don’t know whether the title is meant to be read as a declarative or an imperative.

(From what I understand, Bil and Jeff Keane DO have a sense of humor about people ragging on FC.)

Today’s PBS and Cul-de-sac have made me very pleased :)

Yeah, Alice, go ahead and play and act so innocent - I saw what you did to Rat and Pig’s house. You know, your parents are going to have to pay for that.

If Dill’s brothers had shown up at Rat and Pig’s house along with Alice, they could have used their Ultimate Water Pistol to put out the fire…

I STILL want to know what in the world they used the two bendy straws for……..

I agree, Alice, the classics are always best in toys – such as the “bumble bee push toy” my grandma kept around for all us grandkids to play with…

For some reason it took me FOREVER to find today’s Pearls Before Swine strip (6 years later). But it was worth it! :)
