The gag in the original Norman Rockwell painting is that he was painting himself to look much handsomer and more dignified than his image in the mirror. Except for the eyebrows, the monster here looks exactly the same. I don’t get the joke.
Actually – it’s more like Butthead than Beavis. :-)
