A squirrel is when you hit your ball over the fence into the street and it gets run over by a car.

Carmen (Baldo & Gracie’s “aunt”, known for pitching tongue-casserole) would have LOVED that shot!

The cats in my neighbourhood are pleased when they tree a squirrel. They don’t follow the squirrels up the tree, they just look smug at treeing.

Years ago, before they were protected, a man was awakened by a hoot owl practicing his call outside his bedroom window.Finally, he got fed up, went downstairs, loaded his shotgun in the dark, slowly opened the porch door and looked up into the tree.Dark night, Couldn’t see a thing. So, he just aimed up into the tree, and blasted away.Wife hollers down from upstairs “Did you get him?”“No, durn it!”
