Sue Happy: Dizney Co. now owns the trademark to "El Dia de Los Muertos." And I noticed you have a day of the dead poster in your window... So after you take that down, can you provide me with a list of all your dead relatives?
What’s next Dizney’s going to take: quinceañeras? Hide all your 14-year-old daughters, all you Latino families! (Yes, I know «quince» is 15, everybody, but work with me here!)
OK, I’ll give you that one. To try and copyright the name of the holiday was totally wrong. To try and say it was an attack on Latino culture was just BS. Disney has always used culture to make movies people want to see, can you say Cinderella or Snow White? I know one thing, if Disney did not try to make money off Latino culture by making movies, Latinos would be screaming that they were being ignored and that Disney did not think their culture was worthy of a movie. Yah can’t have it both ways, so definitely speak up when the Corporation over reaches, but don’t try to say it’s an attack on your culture.

And yes, Lalo never said it was an attack on his culture. It was others in the community and other people making comments.
