Thank you, I know the facts about canines and felines. That’s not the point. Dumping a pet for such a silly reason, THAT’S the point. Totally heartless.

I’ve never seen a cat give away a dog’s hidey hole.It’s more likely to happen the other way around.

So the cat was simply reacting to being hassled and you took it to the shelter? Wow. That’s terrible.
