    I take umbrage at that! I have had nearly perfect grammar since elementary school. Also, on a side note Paul Revere cried out “The regulars are coming”, because technically at that point the Americans were all British.

    Bruno Zeigerts: You can’t find rhyme nor meter for Prescott or Dawes? After all, at least they avoided capture and completed the mission, which is better than Revere did.

    Yes – we are too lazy to add the extra letters to colour and flavour and we use s’s instead of c’s in many words, like ‘defense’ (American) versus ‘defence’ (British). I actually like the British differences in spelling. I’m also reminded of the line in the movie Patton, where General Patton is addressing British allies and says that we (Americans and Brits) are ‘two people separated by a common language’.
