I appreciate Arlo’s example of what a good husband is. It’s refreshing when compared with Ralph Drabble or Earl on Pickles, or Hi’s neighbor Thirsty. He loves his wife and it shows! I also like that he doesn’t have to correct her and let her know that he had already gotten the drink. He’s a bigger man than that.

I have become outstanding as a house husband since retirement. Out standing in the yard drinking a beer watching everyone else going to work and running errands.

Its a beautiful thing when the masculine heart can fully feel into the feminine need.

The new technology isn’t everything that some think.

We’ve gotten by long before the smart phone.

My husband would never think of my needs like this. Arlo is great. It is nice to see A & J in different colors for a change.

Poor Arlo and Janis. Because of her overdependence on a small portion of modern technology, she will never appreciate that Arlo had already considered what she might need after her walk. Both lose in this situation. She will not fully be able to express gratitude for this small act of love performed by Arlo, and he will not fully receive the benefit of this gratitude. However, Arlo does love Janis and probably has taken her blindness in this area into account. Love does that. For a written list of what true love is, read 1 Corintians chapter 13.
