Um, sorry to break it to you, but Gene has gone to that great Star Trek in the Heavens. (how old is this strip? is it a repeat?)

It’s amazing how many people do not know this strip is not set in the present day.

I remember my friends and I running home from the playground in the afternoons to watch ST in the early 70s. So I looked the comic up when I seen this reference…. I thought we were the only ones silly enough to do that.

Ya’ll are great with the comments. Too bad though, that Red’s idea is true posthumorously for G.R.

Even if it was set it present time. He is being sarcastic so it doesn’t matter if the writer is dead or not.

I did not notice the Star date yesterday. Cool move Brian. Yes, welcome all new comers. Most often the coments are nice.

I must be close to Red’s age. I still remember when ST was bumped from Monday at 7:30 to the death slot—Fridays at 10. Mom wouldn’t let me stay up to watch.

Rover might not want to go there..The one episode I remember of S.T. having a dog in it the transporter split it into two dogs and when they tried to put it back together they killed it..
