When American TV first went digital, the Public Broadcasting Service had an interesting mix-up; I saw a documentary about the Holocaust Memorial in Germany while listening to an episode of Sesame Street.
In the ’70’s, a college friend of mine was watching the Watergate hearings on TV, and the audio that came over the station was from a Western movie (possibly a John Wayne one). She said that one line was something like “Tell McGovern I’m not carrying my guns anymore.”
When I was in college, I went down to the student lounge to find a TV station was airing “Flower Drum Song.” I went back to my room and returned to the lounge with my reel-to-reel tape deck, an audio recording of “West Side Story,” and a patch cord with a 1/4 inch plug on one end and two alligator clips on the other. Hooked the tape deck to the TV’s speaker, turned down the TV’s volume, and started the tape deck rolling. .The theater majors who passed through the lounge were confused. The art majors didn’t bat an eye.

I was watching a dubbed kung fu movie once and heard a character say “I’m looking for Mah Sun.” Had to double-check I wasn’t watching a western.

Well, you could always teach them proper American phrases such as “Jeet jet?” (Did you eat yet?) and “Yerp” (Europe).
