It’s true what they say: if you look like your driver’s licence/passport photo, you’re not well enough to leave the house.

I had a driver’s license photo where I was caught at the beginning of a sneeze. The DMV lady wanted a redo, but I insisted it be kept – kinda of a Calvin photo, with one eye squinted and the mouth pinched at the corners. Saved me from a minor traffic ticket one time: the cop was so trying not to laugh and failing miserably., letting me off with a warning. Unfortunately, I moved to another state and had to get a brand-new ‘normal’ photo done. I miss that picture.

Too much red tape to get it redone.

Okay, we’re going to try this next photo with the helmet on.

Joan of Arc was burned at the stake on this date in 1431.

The helmet on the ground suggests that Joan was getting a motocycle licence. And, the way some people, especially women, dress nowadays, this photo could be of a real person!
