they took him seriously? Have a work story and a doing dumb things story.
one day one of my husband’s co-workes called me and told me he had an accident and he was bringing him home.I nearly fainted when I saw him. his upper lip was swollen to about 3 times normal , he had blood on his face and neck, and his right forefinger was bandaged and swollen. He looked a little shocky to me.A machine had stalled, crushed his finger, and threw a screwdriver into his face lightning fast. It was stopped before it hit his brain by going Between his 2 front teeth. He came that close to dying. He was trying to get the machine unstuck with a screwdriver. I tried to fix the angle of my little boy’s bike with a hammer. It came free of the handle and the hammer hit me in the nose with it’s claws. It bled from the inside and the outside. I was a mess with a broken nose.
(As long as it’s injury day – if I go clean shaven you can see a thin scar from lip to chin…. um …a tricycle accident… Went around a corner too fast – try telling that story without getting at least a giggle from someone)
At about 8 years old I was trying to figure out why the generator on my bicycle wasn’t working, and thought if I flip the bike over and spin the tire really, really fast, I could flip the generator on and put my dads multimeter on it. And see if it was getting current output.. So I spun and spun that big 26’ in tire as fast as I could and then my pinky got caught in a spoke and slammed my hand pinky first into my metal fender, my finger was cut almost all the way through the bone… I learned I was stupid after all.. Don’t do that!

I have a U-shaped scar on my thumb because an art teacher thought it was okay for grade school children to carve linoleum.

I have writer’s bump on my finger too. Maybe that won’t happen so much since everyone uses computers now.
