Happy father day to all dads and haha grandads here! You gotta be one or at least be that age to like Orphan Annie, I think! I never read it, and I always asked myself, why all the characters lack pupils?

Okay, this is the epitome! As I was growing up, everyone was always speculating about a Justice League/Avengers match-up or even a Superman/Spider-Man (and, yes, they all did eventually happen). But, Team Tracy is constantly making these sorts of dreams come true in their own way. Gasoline Alley’s Walt Wallet, all the Brenda Starr and Terry & the Pirates characters, Batman-ish…all great…But, THIS is the best!

I hope down the road that there will be another crossover story arc. Where Tracy and Warbucks team up and rescue Annie!

You know, there are characters of a graphic novel very popular whose eyes lacks, pupils, too. The zombies!

Wow. When Team Tracy began doing guest appearances from other strips, I’d hoped we’d have one featuring characters from Annie, but this is better than I’d hoped, moving the Moon Maid story along, and giving us a hint of Annie action!I’d sure love to read a story of Annie’s rescue, with Tracy’s help. Or would it be with Moon Maid’s help? Annie has had her share of supernatural and science fiction stories, so an alien wouldn’t be too far a stretch (remember Mr. Am?)Just don’t forget to include Amelia Santiago!-————————And this is on the same day the Phantom continues a cross-over story featuring Mandrake the Magician! I haven’t had this much fun reading the comics since I was a kid!

Why not a crossover of Dick Tracy and Little Nemo? That was a great vintage comic!

So, the 64 dollar question… Who is Moon Maid? She rather clearly believes she’s Moon Maid. Her keepers think she is or seem to. So, how’d she get the powers if she’s not the real MM. And… if she IS the real thing, how’d she survive that car bomb?

I say NOBODY does the guest stars like Team Tracy. All the crossovers mentioned so far, along with Jerry “King”, George, etc. OH MY, and now this? Daddy W, you have been a big help indeed!

Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks reappears on Father’s Day! And the spelling of Lazarus is tacitly corrected. While the Asp and Punjab help Warbucks prepare for his expedition to find the missing Annie, his quick response trimming Dr. Sail will help Tracy deal with the mysterious reappearance of a dead Moon Maid. What a fine Sunday serving this is!

I don’t know how I could enjoy a story more than I’m enjoying this one. Every day we get new revelations, a deepening mystery, terrific art, and the glorious Mysta at the center of it all. Now we’re treated to Daddy Warbucks, Asp and Punjab?? OH!! This is impossibly good stuff. Thank you Team Tracy for this delicious tale. It’s been a long time since I was so absorbed with a daily comic strip. I love every panel and can’t wait for the next day. Sorry to gush but I’m just being honest.

Or Buck Rogers for that matter.

These kinds of things are a lot of fun.

I would say that an Annie/DT crossover would look funny with half the people having no pupils in their eyes. But since everybody in DT squints all the time, who would notice…LOL

Cool stuff! I hope someday Tracy DOES team up with Daddy to find Annie. Just like he’s teamed up right now with Poppa to figure out who Moon Maid is.

Sail was probably hoping this wasn’t one of the five-day intervals where Warbucks is actually available.

Hiya gang! Holy smokaroonies… today’s Sunday strip is so awesome my head is going to explode!! I love this!!!!!

Tracy is already honored to be “crossovered” by M&S….. except I think it is a one-way crossover.

If Team Tracy see’s the excitement these crossover stories are bringing, they just might give us more. But before DICK TRACY finds Annie, he needs to find Sparkle. lol (once he learns she is missing).

Wow… I remember the last time we saw Annie she’d been kidnapped… they ended the strip on that note…

With all the Annie and Moon Maid comments, I almsot forgot to mention that I enjoyed today’s Crimestoppers about the US Marshals. I’d no idea the agency was that old.I do know one strange thing about the Marshals – they have jurisdiction in Antarctica!

Today’s strip and all the discussion about old titles makes me nostalgic for the days when the “funny papers” had Crime strips, Adventure strips, Soap Operas, Funny Animals, Teen-aged strips, etc. It was a real variety and every reader could find something that appealed to him personally. Current comics seem to be mostly of the “gag-a-day” variety.

Talk about a great way to settle some unfinished business. It was so unsatisfying the way Annie just ended, with her lost. What a great idea, thanks! I hope you’re not just teasing us and we’ll see Annie home where she belongs! The Dick Tracy team is easily the best at what they do!

Oliver Warbucks refers to his lead scientist, Dr. Eon – if he means Eli Eon, he was killed by an angry mob way back in one of the very early stories. Perhaps this is a relative?

Blown away…..what a great time to have rediscovered DICK TRACY!!

I insist on Flash Gordon:where are the Lunarites, expecially Moon Maid’s mom and dad? Why, they have flown away on Flash Gordon’s spaceship!

ARE WE FINALLY GOING TO GET AN ANNIE-DICK TRACY CROSS OVER?!!

The Trib should bring back Annie with Mike writing!

Just a few points to remember regarding all the cross-over suggestions..First, the cross-overs that have occurred in TRACY so far all involved characters who are owned by Tribune Media Services, which means no copyright issues are involved..Some of the suggestions made here, however, have involved characters who are owned by King Features, United Features, Newspaper Enterprises Assn., etc. Those cross-overs are just not happening without a lot more wangling about copyright arrangements and money changing hands then I suspect TMS is willing to do..Second, as for the currently running Mandrake/Phantom crossover being the first of its kind, I think if you research it, you’ll find that both characters were in attendance at each others’ weddings..Finally, given that it involves a character who was created specifically to compete with Tracy, and whose creator was one of the greatest mystery novelists in the history of crime fiction, I’m surprised that no one’s mentioned that Phil Corrigan, SECRET AGENT X-9, is guest-starring in the current FLASH GORDON storyline.

Happy Father’s Day to all it applies and especially the beloved Daddy of this board, Vista Bill.

WOW – what a Sunday strip! A major plot element and a nod towards the final panel of the amazingly well done Annie reboot.

From what I understand at the end, Annie was only running in 20 papers, thus the plug was pulled. Perhaps Annie will “chase the ’lectrons too and fro-o-o” once again. The first time on radio waves and this time…on radio waves. Unless Wi-Fi ain’t radio.

It’s all magic to me.

So, why did Moon Maid have bandages on her face???

If anyone can find the missing Annie, it’s Dick Tracy!

I knew it. Both Docs are fakes. “Mysta” has been plastic surgeried , mind-altered, and technologically enhanced. She’s got an altered pocket-zapper hidden on, or in, her. Or not.

And what a wonderful surprise crossover!

I wonder if Tracy will call Dagwood and Blondie next for some tips?

Wait, so they are finally going to Guatemala to rescue Annie from the ‘Butcher of the Balkans’ three years later…? That’s completely astonishing. Tracy, forget Moon Maid, who we’ve known was a fake from the get-go; go get ANNIE.

As far as Annie being revived, I think that today is the end of the crossover, but it was nice to see it.

I’ve missed most of the DT strips over the last year or so, but this is the first time I’ve seen mention of the full name “Dr. S. Tim Sail” which sounds a bit like “stem cell” to me? Is that the idea of it?

As for MM, I still have no idea who she is or what will happen to her or when but it looks like the current caper is finally getting into high gear. It’s been fascinating up till now, despite the lack of Dick Tracy for some time and the lack of any clear crime, too. (Although I suppose that MM technically assaulted Sparkle.)

Man, this is just terrific. (Annie escaped from her kidnapper, became involved with a revolutionary leader and is now ruling a small South American country whose citizens call her “La Roja.”)

This was seriously awesome.

Oh boy I hope they continue this I really wanna know if they’re gonna find Annie not to mention she is popular in culture (2 Musical adaptation [Annie and Annie Warbucks] and 2 movie Adaptations [Annie and Annie A a Royal adventure])
