Thanks for the cobra-related info, fellow-tarzan-ophiles – I knew about the many venomous varieties in Africa, but not their relation to the cobra ‘family’. That one looks more like the familiar Indian type, with the expanded hood, and in the stereotypical basket – fooled me.

I doubt the fangs were removed, considering he just killed the snake to get the vial of venom he’s holding.

This is a “stunt snake”, supposedly safe. I think he plans to substitute the real thing. But it’s Cleo who dies not Mark Anthony.
