Frazz by Jef Mallett for July 09, 2013
Transcript:
Mrs. Olsen: Fitness class, painting the tv room, volunteering at the soup kitchen... all these things I could have done with my summer until I broke my wrist. Miss Plainwell: You realize your wrist will heal. Mrs. Olsen: The cast doesn't come off for 11 weeks and by then I'll have forgotten those plans. Miss Plainwell: That's convenient. Mrs. Olsen: Age is not without it's benefits.

But the potential intent was there, and that is what counts. ;)

@comicsssfan
Just picked up your post from yesterday sending me back to your answer to my question on Saturday. Thanks for taking the time. The content of your response was a surprise, considering there was no reason to think Frazz’s little friend’s parents were divorced because one was gay, but that situation is certainly poignant when it does arise. There were a couple such cases in my daughter’s peer group. All causes for divorce are poignant, though, aren’t they?!

people make excuses for not exercising….it is raining, so i can’t go for a run today. the gym is crowded, so i can’t do my training circuit. i woke up later than i should’ve, so i can’t go to the gym. because, i ate fast food, i can miss a day on my diet and not exercise today. i don’t look good in a bathing suit, so, no pool today. and, that is why we are nation of fatties.

Kinda like your parent letting you know that they were going to take you to Disneyland,,, but since you misbehaved, you lost that opportunity. Uh, yeah…right!

Of course, ALL those things CAN be done with one arm in a cast, but I am a huge fan of Mrs Olsen so I give her a pass!!

You laugh, but seriously – I bet people would buy them for just that purpose. Be fun to test the hypothesis . . .
