Southpark did a bit on that issue. They fired Big Gay Al for a pedophile. It was pointed out which was worse a very feminine guy or a child molester working with children.

My favorite Christmas song has the line “Now we don our GAY apparel. Falalalalal.”In high school we did it in the choir one time. All us guys made this big gay pose when we did that line. This was 1970. It was not looked at as funny by the choir master. The audience however just roared with laughter.

If animals have sex, is it bestiality?
If sex with another species is the dividing line, what about Captain Kirk way back in the 1960s . . on TV!

I get loads of “stuff” from supposed Liberals that is out of context, beside any reasonable point and hateful. My conservative friends tend to be defensive and occasionally off the wall. “Clowns to the left of me, jokers to my right…”

Gee, it hasn’t been long since the last time Verne and R.J. considered what their companionship means. Is this a “ship tease”?

With benefits? ( I’m thinking of Verne’s lending library)

Ok, we’ll, do you understand what that said to every gay kid that saw it? That they were to stay in the closet, that they were abnormal, that you would make fun of them, and all sorts of worse things. Sure, you thought it was fun. But just like putting on blackface to sing a minstrel song, it’s offensive.

Veteran: Anita Bryan actually had a major campaign going a half century ago to ban Deck the Halls as homosexual propaganda.

We did push the envelope back then did we not. I graduated in 71. Combat veteran by 73. Those were good times either way.

You know, if you’re not careful, you’re going to use up all the adjectives and adverbs. Then what’s going to be left over for the rest of us? We might have to learn how to compose simple, powerful, rational, effective comments without all the prickly, antagonistic, unnecessary, redundant whiskers.

Re: “Bogus emails only come from my conservative friends, none from my liberal friends.”I have a liberal friend who I’m CONSTANTLY pointing to Snopes and other sources when he sends me bogus emails. Would you like his name, so you can friend him on Facebook? Maybe you can explain to him how Photoshop can be used to manipulate images. I haven’t been able to get him to grasp that seeing is no longer believing, at least when it comes to photos.

Veteran: Keep up the good work. Ridicule, if it is based on fact, can be a potent weapon. We need Harry Golden in North Carolina today (the Golden Integration Plans), too. Incidentally, I typoes, it was Bryant.

Cute observation, RJ. I mean, they’re two guys. Raising a son/young friend (Hammy). Together. Labels set aside, they’re already what one would call an “alternative” family. Which I like. Good strip :)

Friends are the family you make for yourself.

well that’s what I heard anyway call me lazy for not bothering to to check because no one ever looks at my comments so I thought nno one would care very much if I just said what I’d heard.
