    Oh, great.

    Sparkle has amnesia.

    Is that cliche or what?

Good morning, everyone! What if Sparkle assumed a fake identity to abscond from her family? And Nellie looks even younger than in 1943 88 Keyes story, unless she’s a granddaughter or niece of the original Nellie

This is kind of fun….Nellie should be decades older than Sparkle, but bringing characters together from different eras works age wise as long as they haven’t met before…..I guess it would be hard to pull off if Nellie had babysitted Sparkle before or something though, lol

So, Sparkle appears to have assumed her mother’s name…..I wonder how it is that Mr. Wheaton doesn’t seem to recognise her? After all, if he is a reintroduced character from the Tracy past and his farm is anywhere near the world of all things Tracy, he could hardly have missed out on the fame of Sparkle Plenty, the most beautiful baby ever to be born!

Sparkle doesn’t seem the type to be so intimidated by Mysta as to just assume another identity. Gotta say though, never been a fan of the old “amnesia” storylines. Just a little surprised to see Mike and Joe take that road, as Team Tracy has been so excellent so far. Maybe there’s going to be a reason/twist coming.

I dunno. Sparkle goes from dazed in the back of a pickup to an amnesiac servant using her mother’s name in the house of a determined dairy farmer who doesn’t notify the cops when a young mysteriously shows up? I suppose Clone-Moon Maid (or even the dead real Moon Maid) may have caused amnesia in the past by zapping someone, but this is the first time I recall seeing it. It is, BTW, not Sparkle’s showing up here on the farm but the introduction of the family farm vs. fracking subplot that seems supererogatory to me….

Am I the only one thinking that it might be partial amnesia. That in her head, she’s gone back to when she was 18 or 19 years old?

Getting zapped in the head as Sparkle was does tend to scramble the memories. I’ve seen it happen to someone I know.

In the July 3 strip where Mysta is fleeing Diet Smith Enterprises she is headed straight towards an exit that reads Dairyland. I smell a crossing of paths a coming. I’d like to know why Diet Smith didn’t just come out and tell Mysta that he and Tracy had recently been to the moon and there was no longer people there now…..

Yesterday, since Hy Pressure was standing in front of a motel called “the Horseshoe”, plus the way he was dressed, I thought he was trying to buy the farm so he could put up some kind of casino complex. But now, we see he is an oil man. Typical Gouldian double meaning to his name – he uses high pressure sales when trying to buy land, and he use high pressure in his oil fracking operations.

and right here is a perfect example of what i had commented about a few weeks back.. the main story starts to build up steam, and all fo a sudden we’re sidetracked to the “secondary plot” cutting any momentum the main story had built up.

on top of THAT now suddenly sparkle is conscious and apparently amnesiac as well and we NEVER saw the “discovery scene” of mr wheaton finding sparkle in the back of his pick-up.

unless of course sparkle DPESNT have amnesia and is just “giong undercover/into hiding” for some reason.

this plot twist seems like another “SWEATBOX ENDING” to the main story

One would think that when Mr. Wheaton found an unconcious woman in the back of the pickup, he would first call fire-rescue, and the Sheriff’s Office.

No, not at all. The planet might have been better off if the internal combustion engine had not been invented, and the buggy whip industry would be fighting PETA.

Mike writes on the Tracy Yahoo group:

“Carole and I live on a farm. I do know about fracking because it has been done here through the years, and we drink water from a well.

Yes, that is Nellie. She was “busty” back then, in rereading the 88 Keyes story.

And all will be revealed, but the MM story ends in October.

    Mike"

There are an awful lot of dairy farmers who do allow fracking on their land. It can mean the difference between keeping the farm and losing it to bankruptcy.

Don’t automatically turn this into a political argument. It’s just as likely to be more about personal property ownership rights. Perhaps Mr. Wheaton doesn’t approve of the “Hy Pressure” tactics being used to pry his ground from him. I know from experience that there are people out there who feel they know of a better use of your property (that profits themselves, of course) and some will go to great lengths to take something that they want for themselves. I don’t care if its a fracking well, or a strip mall, or a subdivision… the rightful owner has a right to say what does or does not become of their land.

Ah, not a complete case of amnesia; she remembered the name Gertie. Not surprising, given her long-distance handshake with 20,000 volts (give or take a watt).

Fracking is definitely a current controversy. I don’t know enough about it to say which side is right, but it has been blamed for earthquakes in Oklahoma and other places and the first thing that the PQ party did when they got elected in the Province of Quebec last fall was to shut down all fracking in the province. “I cannot see the day when the extraction of natural gas by the fracking method can be done in a safe way,” the Natural Resources Minister said.

I’m sure we will likely fond out more about how Sparkle came to be doing what she’s doing now as the story goes along.

HAH I called this last week. Either she’s amnesiac or she’s faking it to stay hidden from Moonmaid and Junior since she believes it IS MM and she’s committed some kind of bigamy.

    BACK TO MOON MAID:

Q: does Moon Maid have a BELLY BUTTON??? If she were a clone, how was she grown/incubated/hatched/birthed?

There should be an easy way to figure this out and Tracy & Honeymoon have a sample of her hair. Why would it take so long to get it back from a lab?
