I used to think our computer repair engineers were just being dorky by wearing clip-on ties until it was pointed out to me what would happen if a tie got wrapped around a high-speed printer print drum or a removable disk-pack spindle.
PSchearer - actually, they were being dorky for wearing a tie at all, and any management that required it should have theirs folded, spindled and mutilated…
