PP: What do you suppose this things?
GG: Its an alarm clock...people use them to wake up early so they can get to work on time.
PP: You're kidding?!
GG: I know belong belief, isn't it?
Too much truth here. The bane of the modern middle manager is finding workers who will (first) come to work and (second) close to “on time.” The Protestant work ethic died sometime around 1995.
I’ve been retired for 20 years and the day is still not long enough for me to do all that I want. It’s all a matter of atitude. One thing that I must do daily is read Grizwells. Bill Shorr is very talented and I’m glad I discovered the strip a few years ago.

Just toss it in the trash, Pierpoint, and try to forget these horrible notions!

My cat wakes me up somewhere between 4:30 and 6 am then I go back to bed and when I wake up again wonder what day it is.

Yesterday, the comic strip Brevity had a gag about an alarm clock. And in reality, they still make them.

Give it time. I finally lost my reflexive early rising but it took ≈ three years. It’s worth the wait! :-)
