Andy’s “engine” will always work (oxymoron ?) as long as there is “fuel”, hot, warm or cold !-I love the blue black, orange black color scheme in todays strip. Maybe it’s my imagination but there seems to be a dark cloud over this site lately.

Never having been to the outskirts of any US town / city, I wonder if there are are “local bars”, like we’d have in this country. You know, a bar in a normal street, maybe on the corner; just like Andy would use. I get the impression that all the drinking places are in the urban centre.

I hope I’m wrong.

@BuggerlugsThanks for the link to Pogo, I really appreciate it! I think Pogo and Peanuts and Li’l Abner are probably the three best comic strips ever. (I know that some will say Krazy Kat, of course, but I’ve never read nearly enough of it to have a valid opinion, and the little I have read seems kind of repetitive.) And also thanks to you I can now call up Andy classics (although in his case I do have a lot of the old paperback pocket books, probably close to 20 of them).
