Pakorn Kitmanomai from Bangkok, Thailand, returned a book to Kasetsart University library in 2011, 34 years after he had borrowed it! The fine was waived. In 2010, a man was arrested after repeatedly breaking into the prison in Bielefeld, Germany, to visit his girlfriend who was serving time there. US President Andrew Jackson (1767-1845), who survived an assassination attempt, was said to have fought 100 duels and lived with a bullet lodged next to his heart for decades!
