    and, it also depends where on the earth is your summer. near the poles, your summer is close to 24 hours of daylight(but during the winter, 24 hours of night). near the equator, 12 hours of daylight, 12 hours of night, all the time.

    I’m afraid so. You see, our world has reached the halfway point around the sun. Therefore, (and I’m guessing this) a week after the longest day of the year, the days start to recede (fall back). By October, it gets darker sooner and, depending on what direction your house is positioned, you’ll notice that the sun has “moved” its position, giving your one side of your home more light. Perfect if you like having sunlight in you living room..
