Sometimes.
I recall my high school would occasionally nudge the cheerleading squad to turn out at soccer and girl’s basketball and once even softball, not just football and boy’s hoops.
Most of our coaches were also pretty good about encouraging their teams to turn out to watch their friends in other sports. Golden rule, etc…

I have never seen cheerleaders at a soccer game. Jack just organized the guys on the bench for an impromptu cheer. The absurdity of that was intended to be part of the humor.

By the way, My son just played in his first soccer game since he broke his arm. He only played half the game because he’s kind of rusty. His team won 2-0.
