Melissa: Are women "hassled" a lot in the military? Truthfully, yes. And for many, it's not just harassment. There are now an estimated 19,000 rapes and other sexual assaults every year. 20% of female vets have been sexually attacked while serving. Girl: Whoa... really? I've always planned on joining... What's the math on not getting raped? Melissa: You'll have to do it yourself.

Good Grief, just what did you expect, with all of that macho image and testosterone running free?

Legalizing prostitution would help.

Obviously, a lot of you have no idea what rape is about. It is NOT about, “I gotta have sex with whoever is available.”It IS about “I feel so weak and insecure that I have to demonstrate power over someone I perceive to be weaker.” And anger is frequently a component. Those of you who dismiss it as mere horniness are woefully ignorant.

Incidentally, it turns out that when you chemically castrate a rapist, he rapes with inanimate objects. So much for the “Just keep them from getting aroused solution.”

Some militaries teach that sex happens in combat and with so much stress, then go on to say what to do about it. US, not so much.

Rape is rape and is never excusable. It is conduct unbecoming and diminishes the morale of the forces. Inaction condones the action. Time for the military to get active and remove all officers who excuse the action. It starts at the top.

Same thing I said when Garry ran this tripe originally.
Bovine Scatt.
The military comes down on any soldier that commits a forcible rape or sexual battery like the wrath of an angry pagan god. All a female soldier has to do to ruin male soldiers career is make a sexual harassment claim. Further does anyone here think its possible to cover up 19,000 sexual assaults a year? Point blank it doesn’t happen, but was does happen is the military punishes females for making false accusations. So in revenge for this the RadFems have trotted out this claptrap of the supposed 19k sexual assaults in the military every year. Can’t have anyone poking holes in the Man=Bad/Woman=Good template or the leftist paradigm that traditional male pursuits like the life of a warrior and traditional men are evil.

So your saying that for men to be worth anything they have to be macho, testosterone fueled and need to be worshiped? Wow if that’s your true thoughts then you have my pity.

So they can only rape civilians? That’s OK?

Give women unlimited access to birth control. It won’t stop the rape immediately, but if we refuse to bear for batterers and rapists, it will take its toll.
I’m actually very fond of men – but I’ve also been raped, a crime that can be put behind one, but not forgiven. Castration boils down to nothing but pointless punishment, because castrating an adult often does not destroy either motivation nor ability. Unless you effect that castration with a shotgun, in which case I approve.

On the other hand, I hope they continue to talk about until they finally lose every last election. Angry white men don’t need women’s votes, after all.

They could start by emphasizing honor as a trait they claim is esssential to the military and recognizing that self control includes sexual self control, whether the temptation come from man, woman or child…or fellow military personnel.

Well we could work on our culture as a whole and the military as a part of it in driving home the point that rape of either men or women is not acceptable. There are films out now showing young men making an effort to get the point across that even when a woman is passed out on your couch, you put a blanket over her and leave her alone if you are a decent human being. Rape is ALWAYS a violent act and is there is NEVER an excuse for it — no matter what.

Ok, good, then there would be a higher ratio of non-pedophiles to pedophiles and that would make it all OK!
