    She’ll take her time, ‘cause I don’t mind—waitin’ on a woman. :)

just had our 38th and yep, I’ve waited on my dear for thousands of hours – the wait is annoying but worth it.

I used to do this, until she got annoyingly late one time and I found her unconcious on the bathroom floor. 34 years for us!

When we go somewhere I’m never late.

I missed a few days of strip and next week more. I have on-line classes coming. The Sunday I found interesting and sweet when John danced with little Elizabeth. Sadly my parents never ever did this with me or my sister. My mom never danced at all. Dad never did either. With me when I had my children never thought of dancing. I would try to exercise to get back in shape. My children loved this time. When I was on the floor they both scramble to get rides.

It’s also a 36 year tradition of Grampa complaining about Grandma’s puttering around. What would he have to complain about if she was on time?

Luckily, in 47yrs of marriage my wife has never been one of those ‘scads of things to do’ at the last minute that causes leaving late. Our oldest daughter on the other hand, if she were a lot older, I would think she invented it.

Gosh, I’ve been married for 44 years and we don’t look as old as Michael’s grandparents are drawn here.

My Dad would always start telling my Mom to “let’s go” 25 minutes before he was actually ready to go. This assured him they would leave on time!!!

Groucho Marx dedicated one of his books to one of his wives, stating it was written while waiting for her to dress. “If she hadn’t gotten dressed, it wouldn’t have gotten written.”
