My uncle’s dog once wanted in the doghouse his other dog was guarding, so she ran to the edge of the yard, acted like she saw something, barked a little, then, when he came out to investigate, she dashed past him and into the doghouse.

Gary Paulsen tells in Woodsong of one of his dogs pushing a bone with a little meat just out of the reach of another of his dogs, to the millimeter, just to laugh at it when it’s nail could barely touch the bone, but it couldn’t get it.

    Dogs can be creative.

Cats have only one game – Hunting.

Dogs have two games – Hunting, and Social Dominance.

That’s why they get along with US so well!

Love the kitties for their “Oh so superiour self-absorbed beauty”… love the canines for their inner smarts. Both have small flaws and both know how to work it , work it.It’s called survival and living together in harmony. Love it.Now if there was a shiny thing, Brian your artwork would have shown a big flash whoosh as they disappeared.Boxes are good for babies (Doug) and kitties (and Sophie too). Clever girl, Sophie.

Large paper bags work very well. At Christmas — I take gifts for my friend’s cats. Though they love the catnip snacks – they are always more interested in the paper bag.
