Huh? Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout, a craft beer made by the Wynkoop Brewing Company in Denver, is made using real roasted bull testicles! The voodoo Lily plant of Asia attracts pollinating flies with a smell like rotting flash and the ability to raise its temperature to inviting 110F! In May 2013, a team of Russian scientists discovered the blood of a 39,000 year old woolly mammoth in frozen remains on a Siberian island- the blood is thought to contain natural anti-freeze.

The flower of the stapelia cactus smells like rotting flesh too – believe me, I know – and attracts flies, allowing it to pollinate. Which reminds me of the line in an old B.C. Strip: “We were so poor we got our honey from flies!”
