Glad I stayed up to read this. I think both Wally and Angus will help her. Poor Angus, he didn’t see the cat. I hope he knows what has been happening so he doesn’t ends up grabbing Wally.
Notice that Angus was pretty settled in. Not likely that Linda would have arrived within the last few minutes. The top of the tower is probably empty. However, with Holly’s current behavior, yelling for Angus to open the door before Wally catches her, or before reaching the door and banging on it, my feeling is that she just wants to distance herself from everyone else, and then maybe throw up.
Is that a giant anteater or a tamandua? If a tamandua, then Mr Neathery is having a visual joke with us, because that animal’s fur marking is identical to the singlet (= tank top = vest) he is wearing. Perhaps Crookedwolf can tell us.
Reminds me of an old joke about people who were supposed to try to complete some old proverbs and came up with things like "It’s always darkest just before…. " “… you trip over the cat.” Only this time it’s the cat who tripped.
I’m still wondering what Holly’s motivation is here. Is she trying to find a place to kill herself or is she just trying to be alone for a while? It’s very possible that this ambiguity of purpose is deliberate.
And remember: all tamanduas are anteaters, but not all anteaters are tamanduas. There are only three true species in the Edentata group. Giant Anteaters, Tamanduas, and lesser/silky anteaters. Aardvarks are often lumped in with them, but they are a member of the order Tublidentata. Aardvarks have numerous, peg-shaped teeth, whilst true anteaters have none. That doesn’t make aardvarks any less lovable; I’ve helped raise all of these except the silky anteater (which are rarely seen in captivity).
Just got my book this afternoon. My only complaint is that the new format makes the individual panels too small, like in a newspaper comic. That’s a shame for a story that’s as well drawn as this. Oh well, I’m still looking forward to reading it.
I see some people have started getting their books…but I’m still waiting. Or did I make a mistake when I ordered? Ah, well…I’ll give it awhile and order again.

The third panel reminds me of the times when I’ve tripped over my dog

Holly: “Hah hah! You’ll never catch me now, coppers!”Angus: “I’m sorry, did I come in during the middle of something?”

For an anteater, spiders might be gourmet food.

And look at the artist’s attention to detail. The old hinges on the door. The mail box. The fences and gates in the previous day’s strip.

What if the reason Holly is running upstairs so fast is that there’s something in the colony that can only be seen from a height?
Ida No over 11 years ago
The reason Angus chose to work in the clock tower is that from up on the roof, everyone down on the street looks like lunch.

Wahoo! Got all 4 of my books on Saturday! It is fun re-reading it all! I now have my daughter hooked (Bwahaha!)

Hmm, Holly’s doing the Speedy Gonzalez burning up the road thing in frame 2. Unfortunately, Wally is doing more of a Daffy Duck in frome 3.

At least now we know what Holly’s answer is when Angus asks “What’s up?”.
