Where is Linda… I would have bet on it that she would be there for her. You help me, I help you.. WHAT happened in the “jail” . didn’t they talk to each other? why don’t WE get more of interaction of the three. I am disappointed about that. Sudden movements and loud noises right now would be a mistake. Like popping a large paper bag, or sneaking up behind Holly, grabbing her and yelling “Gotcha!”But, still, the temptation is there…

Never seen people hanging out on the edge of a bridge, contemplating whether to jump or not? That said I don’t think she’ll jump either, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she did. Lot of dark right now. I still stick by the idea that if this doesn’t kill her, it will make her stronger. If it doesn’t kill her.

Wally just needs to hold her and not say a word. Just let her feel the warmth of his embrace and the strength of his arms. She needs to feel loved and safe.

Isn’t it about time that Marx brings everybody back in time and back alive? So many have died….

This is where Holly took Linda and explained its place in her heart and mind. Perhaps she is here for healing. I am sure Linda will be along sooner or later. To me, Wally belongs here with her now.

Maybe I’m being d’oh-level obvious here, but I want to say it anyway: Holly needs a hug.

Get her back from that ledge first then hug.When she sat with Linda she had the guardrail in front. Now she is perched on the top rail.Wally better think every word he says. The wrong word and she will go over.At least keep her distracted so the Fire Rescue can put up the air bag to catch her. That is one thing we have not seen yet in Endtown. The Endtown Fire Department.

Given the way she’s sitting, I imagine she’s thinking of jumping. Maybe its just that she can’t quite bring herself to do it. Don’t know if its fear of death, unwillingness to give up or fear of leaving Wally. I hope that whatever it is is stronger than what drove her to the ledge.

We were forwarned of this quite a while back (book 3, page 60-something). It was Cooper, the fish-headed guy, at a bar right after Wally and Holly saved him from the security bull at Jacob’s town meeting. Cooper basically told Holly she was very kind, but rather naive about Endtown. He feared that if she ever opened her eyes and saw the town for what it really was, it wouldn’t go good for her. (Not his exact words.) So, here we are.

Interesting thing about Cooper, he’s a monster and not a mutant (anthro). By his words, he doesn’t know what he is, doesn’t have a physical relation to any animal, and was conscious (but high on recreational drugs) during his transformation. However, he’s not aggressive like the other monsters. Unfortunately, he’s an outcast in a town of outcasts.

Stay with her, Wally. Enjoy the view with her…You both need time to heal from all of this.And enjoy the time together while you can…Linda and Maude may be coming up in the near future.

personally i look for him to talk her down, which will the better part of a week (lol), and then she will punch Roxie dead in the face for the trouble she has caused in this whole escapade. wont make up for the damage, but it will be a beginning for Holly.

You would think there would be some fans or the air conditioners blowing up there to keep the air circulating. a light breeze from the right direction could help in setting the dark feelings free.

Actually, after looking at panels 3 and 4 again, there might be a slght breeze blowing.

For all those folks over the last few weeks who said they didn’t like where the strip was going, we sure do have a lot of positive comments, or at least emotionally involved ones, every day. Personally, I find the depth of emotion and the sense of despair that Aaron has infused into the situation to be almost overwhelming (and I mean that in a good way). This couldn’t have been accomplished in 4 or 5 days of panels. Well done Aaron, keep writing as your heart leads you! As always, we’ll follow along….albeit while cautiously peering through the fingers covering our eyes.
