The real mystery here is why was MM/Mysta’s face damaged and couldn’t she have lifted the “veil” and peeked into a mirror or felt ther face with her hands?

Can’t be a human girl. She had MM’s powers, at least for a while. I think faking that could be hard. A relative of MM, left behind by accident?

Hmm. Stirring these muddy waters just makes them cloudier. Maybe Sunday will hold some credible answers….

I get more confused every day, everyone, including her own daughter seem to doubt her story. Has there been any more mention about the new character which is going to be introduced in nine days? I think Curtis posted Sept. 1st? How will he be tied into the story?

Maybe she’s related to Junior somehow. Honeymoon has his DNA, too.

all i gotta say is read my comment yesterday afternoon as to a stolen space coupe crashlanding with a lunarian passenger

after todays strip its possible this moon maid lite isnt a clone or a replicant etc but an actual moon person who is related to mysta.. perhaps a sister or cousin.. which would give her, i THINK the same dna as honeymoon..not a geneticist so i wouldnt know for sure.

here are my comments from yesterday that i was referring to in my above post.

i had speculated earlier that MAYBE her horns got blown clear and that’s why they look scarred to honeymoon… but in my head i keep going back to the “altered moon person” theory where SOMEHOW another moon maid**EN** came ot earth, which could have led to moon governor dismantling moon valley because she broke his decree of no more contact with the earth, her coupe crash landed and she was burned, and ghote/sail jumped on the opportunity to push her off as a cloned moon maid. (the crash of a moon coupe would also explain the scared horns and facial damage)

just curious.. did ghote OR sail ever say this was the ORIGINAL moon maid, or did they simply say it was moon maid? perhaps they were inferring that it was A *moon maid, and ghote’s “genetic manipulations” are /were more geared to regenerative tissue of an alien being from severe damage?

Man, I am so addicted to this story. I can’t wait to read each installment. I kind of want it to end but really don’t!

Maybe Mysta is really human and the “scientific” trick was to inject DNA to make somebody look like they are somebody else.

I’m inclined to think she’s “regenerated” as in Doctor Who – same memories, same person, new body.

As several have said recently, this is gettin’ old. An old man like me has an attention span of just so long, and then it moves to food.

And judging from what Liz(z) says, all Lunarians could be related, for all that matters!^^As I said previously, a small colony which refuses to have contact with other civilisations couldn’t HELP being likely highly inbred. In the case of myself, *I have been heavily into geneology the last few years and my first Canadian ancestor lived on a small island in the St. Laurent river… I went to French-Catholic school, here in Ontario, where most of my classmates were also descended from the same little Island in New France/Quebec; I didn’t know it at the time but, I now know that I was related (distantly in most, not all cases) to at least 50% of them!

“Dr. Sail said my face was damaged.” she says, but I don’t think it actually was. That was just a trick to make Mysta believe she had surgery done on her.

I want to believe her face wasn’t damaged and the bandages were a fake. I don’t want to believe Sail since he’s a crook. But then I remember her horns are scarred, which makes it easier to believe her face was damaged. But that just makes me remember . . . oh forget it, my head is spinning again. We’ll know who Mysta is only when Curtis wants us to know. Loving this story in the meantime!

“Because, if this Mysta is a clone, recreation, regeneration, all of which are fakes, then I am going to have to say yes to all of tsull2121 s accusations of her!”.But what if she’s a fake, which I don’t believe, but what if she is and doesn’t know it? Does that make her someone to hate? I think it makes her even more sympathetic. Right now she still thinks she’s this person with a history and a family, only to find out later she’s really . . . no one. No family, no friends, not much of a future. That’s about as sad as it gets, and it makes her a victim. I think I will like Mysta even more in that case. Maybe that’s just me.

She’s a clone of Honeymoon.

Yeah, this is it. She’s a relative of moon maid’s, and now the new Moon Maid. That way she can be a continuing character and no weirdness between Sparkle , Junior, Moonmaid and Honeymoon.
