“Mineral consortium”? Does this mean? The Molemann Mineral Company – the drilling outfit the Apparatus knows wants the Wheaton farm – is actually the consortium Dr. Sail was talking about a few days ago? They’re the ones behind the “Lunarian event”?But how? And why?Things are starting to come together, and it’s making my head hurt!
Hmmm, the Apparatus is planning to sell the land to a “consortium”! Could it be the same one involved with the moon stuff? Could be. The plot does thicken even more. This is great stuff.
Interesting lineups. In today’s contested power-seizing land-grab, in the smoke-filled corner, we have “B.B. Eyes” Eizlander and Doubleup Doubleup. In the looney corner, we have Méliès. Stuck in the middle, we have Hy Pressure vs. the Wheatons and their erstwhile ally, the so-called Moon Maid. Judging tonight will be Chief of Detectives Dick Tracy, the Major Crimes Unit, and FBI agent Fritz Ann Dietrick….
A couple of early commenters asked if that was B.B. Eyes. Yes. it is. On July 3, 2011, he was shown introducing himself (to a disguised Junior) as Mr. Eislander. At that time, Mike spelled it with an s now e is spelling it with a z. But it is B.B. Eyes.
I think it makes perfect sense for B.B. Eyes to have a name like “Eizlander”—it’s certainly more plausible than for his surname to actually be “Eyes.” If his first and middle initials are actually “B.B.,” then you can see someone in his past saying, “‘Brian B. Eizlander,’ huh? Nah, you’re ‘B.B. Eyes.’”
Still Da Man!: Okay, so you got the logo in the box. What string did you use to do it? Also, since you had the just the logo, not the entire page, how did you do that? Still trying to figure out how to use *Willy007*s string.
morrow: And usually, I don’t post on weekends, either. But I’m still trying to figure out the link Willy007 sent me..Per Ray Toler, right click to save link:.http://www.ideastream.org/schedules/wclv.And now, the string:..My string inserted:..
Ray’s instructions were not quite right. In Firefox, “Copy Image Location”, in Google Chrome “Copy image URL”. In Internet Explorer, there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to do it. The easiest I can come up with is to right-click and go to properties, then copy the URL that comes up in the properties box. In 99% of cases the URL will end in .jpg or .gif or .png so look for that to see if you have the right one.
Getting back to the strip, did you notice at the end of the dialogue in the last panel that it seems like the Apparatus is in desperate need of income for some reason? That’s the way I read it, anyway.
You do want the image link as well. Instead of Copy URL try using View Img or Copy Image LocationI think what you want to type is this:<img src="http://www.ideastream.org/common/images/schedules/wclv.png" />Which will do this:
You will also want to limit the width of any image to no more than 350px. This is done by adding in the width and height to the string. Make sure that the two dimensions are appropriate for the image, or it will look squashed or squeezed. The above image is 310px x 330px. lets say we want it to be half that we would type it in like this.<img src="http://www.ideastream.org/common/images/schedules/wclv.png" width="155" height="165" />Which will do this:
By George, that appears to be “it”!.I also note that you have inserted a carriage return between “img” and “src” in order to reproduce the text; otherwise, you can’t print the text..Testing:.
Yup. That was it. And now, it should be obvious to all concerned, the “present” I had for Still Da Man! was the stylized guitar man which, if he used the full-sized version, could easily be cropped (lose the WCLV, &c) and used as his “postage stamp.”.I also note that “.png” was added to the string I originally provided. IE “properties” did not return that suffix, only what I had provided earlier..Sorry to have spent so much time and real estate trying to figure this little bugger out.
The formula I used yesterday is the same one I’ve used to post pics here for a year. Not sure why it didn’t work for you? Anyway, looks like you have it figured out now. :)

After experimenting I have discovered that you only need to use the width. The height is adjusted automatically.
