Gladys: Listen to the list of ingredients in this diet cola...
Gladys: Phosphoric acid, phenylalanine, potassium benzoate and citric acid.
Brutus: Sounds like you should have a prescription to buy it!
The phosphoric acid makes cola a perfect rust remover. Used it several times already to open rusty padlocks and it worked all the time. Leave the padlock in a glass of cola for a few hours… done!
Aw, c’mon folks…it’s just fun to make silly comments about the cartoon. I don’t think we should take everything too seriously. They are just cartoons. And some people love colas and others don’t. That’s what makes the world go round! Everyone, have a good day. May none of us be born losers! :-)
Oh, come one, didn’t you see the Mythbusters take that on? Not nearly as bad as you’d have us believe. And bacon doesn’t have the linings that protect your stomach from its own hydrochloric acid.
To some extent I’m with Dave Barry on this one. In his book Stay Fit and Healthy until You’re Dead, he suggested that you should decide what to eat based upon the average number of syllables per ingredient. If it’s two or below, the product is probably safe to eat in small quantities. If it’s three or four, you’re probably dealing with a product that causes grave concern in laboratory rats. If it’s five or more, set the container down very carefully and flee the vicinity on foot.
