As for Caligula’s reputation a friend of mine who studied Latin and Roman history told me that the stories were written a couple hundred years after Caligula’s time. And they were written by someone with a different political philosophy. Sort of like the Biography of Lyndon Johnson written by Rush Limbaugh IV.
