Homer and Duncan continue their post-life review with St. Bert... Homer: Hey, herding sheep wasn't a completely dull life! God: So I see...spring of 79 AD... The bridge leading to the marketplace had washed out and an alternate route was too far away... Then I noticed something in the woods behind me... ...And it got me to thinking about how to get the sheep across the river. Bert: I'm afraid to ask, but that's my job... Duncan: Be afraid, Bert...be very afraid. Homer: Oh, like you had a better idea. Next week: The River Gambit.

Okay, they flung a cow on Monty Python (…Holy Grail) and a piano on Northern Exposure, so why not start the whole flinging thing off with a sheep? It had to start somewhere. You go Homer… you started a trend.

I’m not sure that is a sheepapult. I think it could be a baaarometer which is used to castrate young male sheep. So it’s a wether machine.

I hope you’re feeling sheepish about that sort of fuzzy logic. The alternate route was too far.

What if the sheep hit the water and the wool shrinks ? Doesn’t that mess with the bottom line?

This scenario is almost as fun as Captain Eddie inventing a story to cover whatever happened the last time he took the boat out.

I kind of get where Aaron is coming from. I am ok with these comics that depict heaven, thought I did not care for a comic last week that showed god as a cat. He definitely is a dog person, as am I.

I believe the WKRP in Cincinnati was when turkeys were dropped and the station manager, Mr. Carlson thought they could fly.
