…Not only has the Shoe strip been reduced to bad puns most of the time, it refers to ancient stuff like a 1960’s TV show that young people today won’t even ‘get’ until they look it up on Wikipedia or YouTube – and then the humor is lost. I REALLY miss the original MacNelly…

John Banner and Werner Klemperer (sp?) – Col. Klink – were both Jewish, and neither one would take the role unless they were guaranteed by the show’s creators that the Nazis in the show would always look like fools.

Sounds painfully like our current president – “I wasn’t involved.” “I wasn’t informed on this.” “Someone else did it.”

    Sound familiar?

    … sigh …

Honestly, I never liked that show. It makes WWII look like fun. It wasn’t. POW camps weren’t fun. And the Nazis were definitely NOT fun!
