Nobody cares about your bad tastes. I’ve always liked Garfield, but I agree with JoClear and Jmlares. Garfield has been no good since Jon and Liz got together. Since then Garfield,Odie,Nermal and the other animal characters, who are what made the strip, have slide into the background.
Speaking for myself, I like Liz in the strip. however I would prefer they go back to Jon not being a total idiot and having story lines with continuity.
If you go back and read the strips in the first few years they are better. I like a running storyline, it’s fun to see how it unfolds from day to day. In this one though, Liz is clearly hinting at marriage but she will have to do the proposing like Toni did to Brad in “Luann.” It would be interesting if Jon and Liz married and had kids, but let’s not make any jokes about Jon’s ability to… father them. LOL!
I realize that this is probably too late for anyone to read, but did marriage ruin Dagwood and Blondie when they were wed? Or when Lil Abner [sp.?] wed Daisy Mae? My father remembered when they were single and the strips were funny then and afterward. I’m too young to remember either but wonder if anyone else does?

I’ve read Garfield for a long time, and, maybe it’s me, but the strip needs some imagination. I swear I’ve read this gag before. And before that.

Liz, you’re gonna have to propose and give Jon a card that says “yes”.
