Hey!

Nice pun, but saddle shoes have been retro-chic since their comeback in the 70’s….

They never go out of style.

Just hang around a golf course; no one will even notice.

I love the little rolled sock about the ankle area.

While Granny will never be a fashion maven, the shoes have a certain flair. I suspect that they were leftover inventory from the last time they were cool.

I got my new Spaldings to go back to high school, but I was still uncool on the first day as I had my socks folded and that year rolled socks were in.

Yup, they’re “retro chic” now. I saw an elderly lady wearing gym shoes that looked like saddle shoes. Golf cleats used to be styled to look like saddle shoes. Maybe Agnes can doodle designs on the white parts of her shoes, like we did in the 70s. lol

Don’t diss saddle shoes! They were the coolest thing I owned when I was in high school!

Good shoes Agnes.

She needs a poodle skirt made from real poodles.

Riding over feet that size, she really needed to saddle them.

Saddle shoes were part of my boarding school uniform. I HATED them! Would never even suggest my girls wear them. What I really, really wanted were penny loafers. Sigh.

I wore out the soles on my saddle shoes. Had the cardboard in each shoe until I outgrew the shoes.
