Sopwith Camel insurance is hard to come by.

So his aviator helmet and scarf didn’t burn in the fire?

The ace is grounded.

If everything inside the house was destroyed, where was that helmet and goggles kept?

Is it just me or is the fire story running a bit long? I’m still anxious to see if they’ll ever rebuild his house.

Um, forty years is a long time. Could it be that people have forgotten some details?

Anyway, we feel bad for Snoopy and want this to be resolved SOON.

I like this storyline but it has to be the saddest one in the whole of the Peanuts era.

The carbonized wood in that doghouse is the strongest I’ve ever seen. It even supports him sleeping on it.

It must have steel reinforcement bars in it.

Somehow I missed this sequence when it was originally published…certainly the saddest I have ever felt reading a comic strip. Wonder if Schulz went through a house fire or knew someone close who did?

Aw, come-on, at least give him his plane back. Give me an address and I’ll replace everything for him. Everything except his Van Gogh—I got to keep mine—painted it myself!
