I’d be surprised Petey’s the only signature and Ernesto won’t be reinstated.

    Little wonder, Ernesto exceeds everything.

Hey, Ernesto, isn’t that what they call “looking a gift horse in the mouth”? (Begging your pardon, Petey.)

Does anyone besides Petey use cursive these days? They don’t teach it in schools anymore. If you can read or write it, you must be an older person like me.

I’ve noticed that a lot of TV advertising uses a cursive font recently. The new CBS show “The Millers” uses it.

I often volunteer in schools – just reading to and with the younger students, and they frequently ask me to teach them to write their names “like a grown up”.

Just another sad part of the “dumbing down” of America. Our local school doesn’t let students bring home textbooks, and what little homework there is gets done on the computer. I’m glad I don’t have children in school nowadays.

Not teaching cursive is bad enough , but I think a lot of schools these days don’t even teach kids how to print letters properly.

Why does Ernesto remind me of Mr. Danders?

They teach cursive in the Sheboygan Falls, WI, school system. Also expect decent printing.

The “dumbing down” of America? I don’t know about you school district, but where I live in Socal, 5th grade is studying things I learned in 7th and 8th grade.Kids have an instant library(and do not have to learn the Dewey Decimal System), if they are hooked to the internet.

Don’t people still have to sign their names? How do they do that without cursive?
