Student 3: Sorry. Had to chase my dog. Student 4: Sorry. Dog. Mr. Burke: I learned something about the never-make-excuses ethic. Frazz: Oh, yeah. It's not because people don't want to hear them.

every kid wants to play hooky, i did what hurts is when in my case no one cared if i played hooky.

I can’t get over how much Frazz looks like Calvin from “Calvin and Hobbes”, come to think of it, so does the kid in the 3rd panel.

I’m not making excuses, I’m just saying what happened. It only becomes an excuse when accepted as a valid reason.
