A reason to smile! Manuela Hernandez, from Oaxaca, Mexico, graduated from primary school at the age of 100 in June 2013! Tiet Canh, a soup made with raw duck blood and infused with herbs and nuts and served cold, is a popular dish in Vietnam. Beth Johnson of Ohio built a wooden yo-yo 12 FT in circumference and weighing 4620 lbs., and tested it using a crane!

I thought phở was the popular Vietnamese soup. Will Manuela live longer enough to graduate from junior high school and regular high school?

Beth has waaaay too much time and money. Manuela just wasted her time with the current job market prospects.

I like Manuela’s hat. And I want to see Beth do “round-the-world” and “cat’s cradle” with her yo-yo.

Did the Yo-Yo’s ‘string’ break? Did the crane overturn?

the yo-yo was 12’ in diameter and weighed around 7300 lbs. Seems to me that if she made it with 1/8" MDF and filled the cavity with expandable foam we could have seen it go back up again, (it would have weighed about 93% less)
