    Yes, the Twain story was “The Million Pound Bank Note.” There was a British film based on the tale, “The Million Pound Note,” with Gregory Peck as the stranded American, and with fine British character actors. The network THIS TV broadcasts it occasionally. Cheers.

    Actually had a forger try to pass one of those at a bank a few years ago. The bank thought it was real.

    Apparently the duck in Groucho’s “You Bet Your Life” game show carried play money in it’s bill. Seems it was illegal to photograph real money (even with a TV camera!)
