I’m with Baslim. It’s starting to look like Wally and Holly will be collecting a whole “expedition in force” before leaving Endtown.

Maybe they can take Petey along, but will they have to buy him for nearly one Stellar? ;-) (Kudos to anyone who gets the reference – and the other reference)

And now comes JJs brownshirts. Forgive me people if I’m hanging onto this Third Reich parallel but I’m a historian as well and I can’t ignore the similarities. I wonder if that bull in panel one was one of the security goons at JJs rally when Holly and Wally first went. Al would be a good pick to go topside since he’s experienced, maybe even Petey.

Does Wally actually know Al? I think they were unacquainted, but simply because nothing was mentioned of them together since Wally arrived in Endtown, does not mean they had not previously made acquaintance. I think Al was already down when Allie died, so they could have met at Allie’s burial, or some private memorial.Several commenters have suggested Typhoid Marys would suffer Jackrabbit’s establishing and cementing his power.Support Endtown preferably with cash and votes. The Auction Site indicates some print art for sale & probably also has one of the best way to support Endtown, a handy donate button. Cups, shirts and other neat swag may be available from Cafe Press, and a few books are left at Amazon or through:Jarlidium Press: Signed copies of Vols 3 and 4The Amazon, Cafe Press and the Auction site(handy dandy donate button) are are on the right, and clicking through is one method of increasing one of Aaron’s marketing metrics. While everyone is deciding the best candidate for some office or offices, How About a Triumvirate, Just so Wally and Holly can Cross the Rubicon with their 13(th) Legion to take over a future Endtown VOTE! Vote ENDTOWN

    Vote Doc Rat

I understand from Wabbit Kevin and Kell are registered at TopWebComics. Kathy and Scott never listed at TWC, and I don’t know about 21CF’s current status or we could vote for them as well. I dropped a comment over at some strips we had voted for in hopes they would reciprocate, and maybe check out the cat and mouse that are living in Aaron’s head and the Doc Rat and Fornor community in Jenner’s head. It seemed to work.Remember, Saturday is the start of a new month, and this weekend, around the USA, millions of people will be working their fingers’ to the bone to celebrate a date set aside to honor labor, known conveniently as Labor Day. Sincerely, JusOversharing

Violence towards the apparently non mutated shouldn’t surprise anyone. When Dottie showed Walter Jacob’s editorial to Walter she noted that Jacob had a bee under his bonnet about impure humans, suggesting they were potential Topsider sympathizers. Jacob was willing to talk with Cooper until he asked about Jacob’s plans for impure humans, then he called security. I don’t know whether Jacob really believes that impure humans are a threat, whether he is jealous of them or whether he figures this to be a wedge issue to get him to power but he has little use for impure humans. Ironically his march to power was aided by the human appearing Aaron Marx.

And so, the discrimination has officially begun…You’d think an experienced forager like Al would receive better respect from those he has struggled to feed.Methinks, after this, Holly won’t be the only one getting the heck out of Endtown.

So unfair and so unfree, just how ‘democratic’ will these ‘elections’ be?.Rabbit is too much of a control freak to allow such behavior without his acquiescence – or instigation. He’s only using the facade of a democratic action to appease the sensibilities of weaker (and easily fooled) supporters. .‘I don’t like the violence, but he’s a good guy, right? Wants democracy, so it must be okay – in the end.’.Road to hell is paved with intentions good or bad.

Mayor Bear will lose (guaranteed by vote fraud) and end up in jail on false pretenses. (Probably too popular for immediate execution.).Newspaper editor will attempt to ‘expose the truth!!’ and attempt will be short-lived. Execution potential much higher, or he smartly bends, and staff (including himself) are replaced by lackeys of the state..Local police force will expand; mostly enforcers and thugs from Rabbit’s old club. Police state under democractic guise; very modern!

I may have mistyped the shortcut for Kevin and Kell earlier. As I said, if we help them come up a little and request their support for Endtown AND Doc Rat, perhaps they may comply. I got some help from C’est la Vie’s people when we helped them come up several pages at TWC. I don’t think we got them quite to page 1, but were higher than ever before and stunned.

Help Vote for Kevin and Kell? And if someone could propose cooperation on their comments page, maybe they would: Vote Endtown

    Vote Doc Rat Sincerely,JusSayin

I still wonder if the humans have anything. Considering the “Wizard” they found I expect the humans might have a mutation even they don’t know about. Like one of these fights might go south if the human might go XMen on them.

A couple people mentioned that Wally doesn’t seem to know Albert…y’know, the set-in-Endtown parts of the story so far have had a certain “everybody knows everybody” vibe to it all…though Wally, being a recent arrival, might not yet have gotten around to everybody.#I’m reminded of the Rowan Atkinson sketch, where Satan (Atkinson) is addressing the crowd of the damned: “We have eternity, so everybody will get to know everybody by the end.” (Quoted from memory, unlike that Shakespeare quote I put in yesterday, which was copy and paste.)

An observation on Wally and Al,Just because you know everybody doesn’t mean you “know” everybody. Where I’ve been working for the last thirteen years has a thousand people employed there and my job is one of the few that requires me to go to most of the buildings at our facility and no, I’m not an IT guy. I see many familiar faces yet I don’t know all their names. In Endtown it is most likely much the same. I know my friends and may know a number of my friend’s friends, but I most likely don’t know all of them. Wally may have seen Al before, yet may not have met him before even though they both know some of the same people.

I would think Wally doens’t know everyone because he’s new—-he hasn’t been in Endtown all that long. Holly, on the other hand, seems to have been there from the beginning (whatever that was), and seems to know everybody. Holly knew Spike and they both knew Allie Alvarez; Holly and Angus knew each other.#On the other hand…Holly was a waitress at the Endtown Cafe…a lotta people came and went there, staff and customer, and, well, you do get to know a lot of people that way…
