Whites can say it – its just not historically fitting, and as such it feels wrong in that context. And similar when people aren´t used to a group using the word it just seem odd/wrong.Also look up one of Daniel Glovers stand up shows he runs the same bit.
On a sidenote writing “the n-word” is really just another way of writing said word (which I´ll not write due to mods here wouldn´t know the difference between just writing a word and having a discussion about a word). Allthough yelling “hey you n-word” just have a different meaning to it :)
oh and the last one (frame) – wtf is wrong with people …
my wife was at a hotel back east once and the elevator opened and it’s full of young black men making the trip up. She considered waiting, but didn’t. The gentlemen, sensing the situation, were gracious and affable and they were all fine friends by the time she reached her floor. Her nephew, on seeing her exit the elevator, got quite excited. “Auntie T! You just rode the elevator with Bone Thugs N Harmony!!!!”
sorry I think it is stupid jesse can use it I should be able to the word to me means just like you would call someone a redneck or hillbilly you are not talking all black you are talking about the lowlife. I grew up in a mixed neighbor hood and we used that word and race did not matter it was just a put down. And I am sorry not all whites get the # one treatment by cops and banks etc. Also it was as stupid as calling people black most people from Africa are brown very few are black . Jesse and Sharpton put that there so they can say white and black complete opposites so they can be like the KKK and preach hate and try to say that black and white are not the same when most of them are just the same except for skin color
A day or two ago I read of a black woman in New York who successfully sued her former supervisor, a black man, for calling her the “N” word. Punitive damages were around 30 grand. It looks like even blacks aren’t allowed to use the “N” word any more.
Mr. Knight, obviously you consider white people as being privileged. You should also consider this point: generally, white people don’t consider themselves as being privileged. That little fact should explain a lot.`The fact is, the whites who screw over blacks also have few qualms about screwing over other whites. Really, “cops let [us] go”? Not in my experience when I’ve had problems with them. (Do you really think we all know each other?) “Banks give [us] loans”? I use to work for a finance company; if you met the minimum requirements we didn’t care what color you were, and if you didn’t we didn’t care what color you were. “CEOs mentor [us]”? Yeah, right – that’s my experience. You might argue that as a white I have an “inside track” over most blacks. Perhaps true, but if most blacks are in Track 10, I see myself as being in, at best, Track 8.`And as far as the Wild Wing Café incident (“25 blacks 1 white”) is concerned, we live in a very large country – 300,000,000+ people – which makes room for a lot of weirdness and stupidity. If the incident actually occurred as described by the Huffington Post website (this is not certain as there now appears to be conflicting versions of the incident,) then the WWC shift manager was a total idiot – and probably now a former employee.
I don’t use it, my children have been taught not to use it by both myself and their father. We also teach our children’s friends not to use it. Don’t be fooled by my avatar.
Why would some white guy come up to him and whimper that it is unfair that the white guy can’t use the “n-word”?He can use it if he wants to.Who is going to stop him?I hear white guys using it every day.No one pays any attention.
